ABOUT OUR OFFICE:
We strive to be a friendly and understanding office suitable for patients of all ages.
Our goal is to create individualized treatment plans that merge three important aspects of dentofacial orthopedics (orthodontics):
- Understanding and addressing the patients’ concerns (GOALS)
- Following the science of ideal occlusion (FUNCTION)
- Guiding principles of teeth, smiles and facial esthetics (FORM)
Our office uses the latest technology in digital scanning (no more goop impressions!) and digital X-rays in order to provide the highest level of customized treatment all while minimizing our impact on the environment.
MEET DR. COHEN:
Dr. Cohen was born and raised in Newton. Here in her hometown, Orthodontics provides her with the opportunity to create long-term connections with her patients while artistically creating smiles, and she deeply enjoys her work. Orthodontics has proven to
be an ideal combination of her background in science and appreciation of the arts. She strives to continuously add to her expertise by attending lectures, courses, and study clubs and through reviewing articles for Orthodontic journals.
Outside of the field of Orthodontics, Dr. Cohen loves working in many forms of studio art, spending time outdoors (in particular amid the lakes and mountains of New Hampshire), and enjoying the company of family, friends, and dogs.
Education:
• Tufts University, magna cum laude, Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Russian
• Harvard School of Dental Medicine, DMD with honors in research
• Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Masters of Medical Science (MMSc) in Oral Biology
• Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Certificate in Orthodontics
